Today we’ve been vetting the new neighbours. The landlord held an open house downstairs to show the empty flat to potential tenants so Phil and I have been hanging out of the window saying hello to everybody. Well, we managed to say hello to all the Indians, Malays and Caucasians; we received only blank stares from the Chinese Singaporeans. Hello? Can smile or not?

Most of the people seem really nice but there have been a few weirdos so I sent Phil down to breathe alcohol fumes over them to scare them off. Hopefully an Indian or Malay family moves in so we can invite ourselves down for dinner! Phil seems to have selected one Malay family already and I’m sure he wasn’t influenced in any way by their 18-year-old daughter with the amazing butt. Yeah right.
