Although I'm really enjoying changing nappies and feeding Dumpling at 3am, I am missing my work. Last night I missed one of Monsoon's best book launches yet! Irish forensic psychologist Grace McClurg launched her recently released "Straits and Narrow" at The Arts House to a packed house that included the British High Commissioner and the Irish Ambassador. Apparently the evening was such a success that The Arts House ran out of books and wine! Grace emailed me the following day: "Probably about the best night of my entire life!!".

The only other Monsoon Books launch that I missed -- I was attending Hooi Hooi and Hashi's wedding in Penang -- was written up in the online edition of the UK's The Daily Telegraph! Er, maybe the book launches are better without me!
