bachelor days

Sandy and Olive have been up in KL for ten days now and I can’t wait to see them tomorrow. Olive is sleeping 12 or 13 hours a night, which is amazing at only 3 1/2 months, and Sandy says Olive rolled over for the first time yesterday! It’s been lonely without them – I only have a tiny tree frog for company. I don’t know why but the frog now lives in our livingroom, either sticking to the wall above the sofa or actually sitting on the sofa. Probably watching TV.
Interruption … there’s a Greater Raquet-tailed Drongo perched on a branch just outside the livingroom window. Really beautiful. (The photo is by EJ Peiker, Nature Photographer.)
Before Sandy and Olive left for Malaysia, I thought I would enjoy ten days of solid partying. In the end I only went out on three nights; I must be getting old! And my diet is terrible, I’m eating junk food every day. It’s fantastic, I love it. Tonight I’m cooking a 350g Angus ribeye steak with heavy marbling and I’ll melt a slab of Roquefort on top of it. Delicious!
