My dentist is a genius. I went back to Singapore’s National Dentist Centre yesterday to have my stitches removed and the dentist presented me with this evil-looking syringe. Apparently the hole left in my gum following my wisdom tooth extraction is so big that part of the bone is exposed. Worried that I might leave grains of rice in the hole, which could result in an infection, the dentist gave me the curved-tip syringe to shoot water into the gap and rinse the bone. But, the excitement of looking at my teeth obviously having got the better of him, the dentist then suggested I use vodka. Actually I believe his exact words were “Please don’t use vodka” but I’m sure he was only kidding. It’s a great suggestion and I look forward to downing some vodka shots later tonight with Naughty Nurse Olive. (As long as Stern Sister Sandy doesn’t find us.)
