Christmas in Willoughby on the Wolds, England
Dec 23rd, 2008 by islandhippy

[The tree is up and the mince pies are in the oven ...]
Sandy, Olive and I survived fourteen hours with British Airways and we're back home in England to spend Christmas at Baxter Farm in Willoughby on the Wolds. Olive was a star on the flight over and she didn't cry at all. Had Sandy not smacked Olive's head into Nel's car door at Heathrow airport carpark, we might have got all the way home without any tears.
According to everybody here, the weather is really mild but it looks way too cold to step outside. From the kitchen window I can see a fat crow frozen to a nearby television aerial. Baby Olive wore three layers of clothes last night — she slept for eleven hours so perhaps she likes the cold. Or she was just knackered from the flight like the rest of us.
Sandy, Olive and I wish both our readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Phil,Sandy and Olive and to your familys. We will miss you this Christmas.
By the way it is a little chilly here in Dubai, who would have guessed it would get this way! Off to Istanbul on Saturday for -1 and snowy – wish us luck!
Chat next year. Love and hugs xx
